Word of the Director

Our goal is to keep you informed of our projects in the different areas in which we operate. We hope that our contribution to the development of this country will really make a difference for those who are more unhappy and our activities will also serve as a model for other organizations. In this site, we will share with you some of our successes, lessons learned and some of our recipients’ testimonials. Do not hesitate to leave us a word of encouragement and let us know how you find our site.

cordially

History

History

Just after the First World War in 1918, Seventh-day Adventists sent helping regions devastated by conflict. After World War II, aid was more organized for Europe, North Africa and Asia. In 1956, the Seventh-day Adventist Welfare Service (SAWS) was formally established. The objective of SAWS was to strengthen humanitarian assistance actions. The organization was renamed the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) in 1984; it then employed 600 people around the world and several thousand volunteers. Today, ADRA is present in 125 countries and employs more than 4,000 humanitarian workers. [/ Vc_hoverbox] [/ vc_column] [/ vc_row]
